Moving is a part of life – but not one of us likes to do too much! While family and friends can help ease the process by helping with packing, loading and unloading, the right-sized moving truck can be a true lifesaver. At Marcus Allard Truck Rental, we are proud to serve our communities in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana region. Our merged companies have been around since 1958. On one side, we had the Marcus Auto Lease Corporation that rented and leased vehicles from the location in Highland. Then on the other side, we had Allard Truck Rental that served the truck rental needs of the steel and petroleum industries. When they merged in 1995, it created our company as it stands today.
On our lot, you will find a range of vehicles from pickup trucks and vans to box trucks and stake trucks. Our box trucks are available in two sizes: 14 feet or 16 feet. The larger size has a lift gate to assist with loading and unloading. Our pickup trucks are available in extended cab, regular cab, F-150 with short or long beds and more. Depending on the size of your move, you can rent from us a box truck, or if you have an event or home improvement project, you may find that a pickup truck works better. A pickup truck’s bed can help transport larger and cumbersome items that may be needed for your latest home renovation or if you are hosting a big party. We also can rent you and your family a 4×4 pickup if needed for winter traveling.
Our lot is also filled with vans to help you get you where you need to go! The enclosed cab of a cargo van can help you take your party items safely to their destination when it is raining, snowing or windy outside. There is 149 cubic feet of storage in the back to fit lots of equipment and supplies. Our passenger vans are essential for a group trip when you want to ride together. You can select a 12-passenger or 15-passenger van for your next adventure.
You will be happy to find that most of our vehicles in our fleet are the current model year, and additional drivers can be added for a fee. You need to be 21 years old to drive a rental and have a valid driver’s license. We allow our vehicles to go throughout the continental U.S. and Canada. Discuss with us if you need your rental truck for a day, week or month. We will work with you as much as possible.
We are available to answer your questions or assist you with your rental through our online contact form.
